As you’ll be aware, New Zealand returned to COVID-19 Alert Level 2 at 12pm Wednesday 12th August.

All our scheduled appointments will continue at this stage. We have returned to operating in accordance with Level 2 government guidelines.

It is difficult to predict how the coming weeks will play out. As a precautionary measure you may wish to stock up on on your skincare products. You can buy product online (for Janesce and Bestow), in clinic, via phone (578 7610) or email (skincare@jamele.co.nz).

In this post, we outline what to expect when you come in for an appointment.

It will feel a little different, but remember each safety measure is motivated by care. By following these guidelines, we show our mutual commitment to keep one another safe and well.

What We Need From You at Level 2

Re-schedule Your Appointment if You Are Sick
It is vital that you do not come in for an appointment if you feel unwell or have come into contact with anyone who is unwell and is suspected of having Covid-19. You can rest assured that we are holding our therapists to the same standard. If you have even a minor sniffle or sore throat, please stay home.

Appointment Time
Please arrive just on time for your appointment. If you arrive early, please wait in your car to minimise client cross-over in our waiting area.

Use Hand-Sanitiser Upon Arrival
Please use the hand-sanitiser provided at the clinic entry or at reception.

Waiting Room Safety
Please come alone – no children or friends.  The furniture in the waiting room will be spaced two metres apart for your protection. We have removed all magazines, to reduce shared contact.

Bring a Water Bottle
For your safety, we will not be serving refreshments or water. Please bring your own water bottle. We’re sorry not to be able to provide our usual bliss balls!

Therapists Will Assist You with Make-Up Testers
Please do not use make-up testers on your own.  Your therapist will assist you and sanitise each product before use.

What You Can Expect From Us

Our Therapists Will Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Beauty therapy is an up close and personal service. Your therapist will wear a face mask throughout your treatment and put on a fresh pair of protective gloves before each new appointment. Your therapist will not wear gloves during facial treatments or massage, that would rather defeat the purpose! You can rest assured her hands will be sanitised and squeaky clean.

Impeccable Hygiene Standards
We always maintain the highest hygiene standards. Sheets are always changed after every client, grooming equipment (tweezers, eyebrow brushes etc) is stored in alcohol. At Level 2, we will be even more vigilant by regularly sanitising all surfaces and door handles throughout the day.

Your Therapist Will Be Well
Out therapists are committed to only working if they are well. They will not come to the clinic if they are sick, or if they have had contact with anyone at risk of COVID-19.  They will be maintaining high personal hygiene standards, washing and sanitising their hands frequently.

Professional Care and Expert Advice
We have been helping women to care for their skin with confidence for 34 years, and we will continue to do so for you at this time. You can expect a relaxing environment, a caring therapist relationship, top quality facial and grooming treatments and expert skincare and wellbeing advice.
